Project
This project aims to create a website and a set of databases with two main objectives: the first is to provide an updated brief overview on Arnau de Vilanova and the corpus of medical, religious and alchemical writings attributed to him, whereas the second is to provide basic tools for the research on this medieval Latin author. The databases include current bibliography on Arnau, archival documents related to his biography, as well as works, manuscripts and early modern editions of the corpus attributed to him. In parallel to Arnau, two other authors of the Crown of Aragon are studied: the astrologer and physician Bartomeu de Tresbens and the theologian Antoni Andreu.
