Dogmatism and Loneliness Feelings and their relationship to Irrational Thoughts among the students of the University of Sallahaddin Summary The Aims of this research are recognizing the following: 1.The levels of Dogmatism among the students of the University of Salahaddin. 2. Differences in the levels of Dogmatism depending on; A. gender (male and female) B. educational specialization (scientific and humanitarian). 3. The levels of Loneliness Feelings among the students of the University of Salahaddin. 4. Differences in the levels of Loneliness Feelings depending on; A. genders (male and female) B. educational specialization (scientific and humanitarian). 5. The levels of Irrational Thoughts among the students of the University of Salahaddin. 6. Differences in the levels of Irrational Thoughts depending on; A. genders (male and female) B. educational specialization (scientific and humanitarian). 7. The relationship between the Dogmatism and Loneliness Feelings. 8. The relationship between the Dogmatism and Irrational Thoughts. 9. The relationship between the Loneliness Feelings and Irrational Thoughts. The research was restricted to Salahaddin University students, males and females from human and scientific departments in the morning colleges, for the academic year of (2013-2014).To achieve the goals of the research, 608 students from the 3rd stage specialized in humanitarian and scientific studies were selected randomly to participate in the research. The researcher adopred a measure of Dogmatism, as well as relying on Loneliness Feelings which was pointed out by (AL Saaty, 1990),developed by (Al Mashhadani ,2004) and the measure of Irrational Thoughts, pointed out by (Mala Tahir , 1995),developed by ( Al baerwary ,2008 ). The researcher verified that this validity of the levels of measure of Dogmatism and Loneliness Feelings and Irrational Thoughts applied among on a group of experts and decision makers in Educational and Psychological Sciences, as well as was calculated force discriminatory clauses scale Dogmatism ,The researcher has also extracted the validity of translation from Arabic into Kurdish of three scales. Reliability of scales was measured by two ways applying the test-retest method in this way (0.832) to measure the Dogmatism, and (0.869) to measure Loneliness Feelings and (0.912) to measure Irrational Thoughts, and reached the Reliability scale Dogmatism way of Alfa Cronbach (0.899) and (0.871) to measure Loneliness Feelings and (0.934) to measure Irrational Thoughts. After the final application of the three measurements ,the following statistic means have been used for tackling the study as follows: (Pearson product moment coefficient, Alpha Cronbach formula, T-test for one sample, t-test for two independent samples, and t-test for correlate significant). For this purpose the researcher has used the (SPSS), The findings showed the following; 1. Salahaddin University students suffer from Dogmatism greater than the average degree. 2.A- University students from the males have a greater Dogmatism level compared to females. 2.B- University students from scientific disciplines have greater Dogmatism compared to the level of competences humanity. 3. Salahaddin University students suffer from Loneliness Feelings greater than the average degree. 4.A- University students from the females have a greater sense of Loneliness Feelings level compared to males. 4.B-University students from scientific disciplines have greater Loneliness Feelings level compared to the level of competences humanity. 5. Salahaddin University students suffer from Irrational Thoughts significantly. 6.A- University students from the females have a greater sense of Irrational Thoughts level compared to males. 6.B- Students of the University of humanitarian disciplines have bigger thoughts compared to the level of irrationality scientific competences. 7. Statistically significant relationship between Dogmatism and loneliness Feelings among university students Salahaddin. 8. Statistically significant relationship between Dogmatism and Irrational thoughts among university students Salahaddin. 9. Statistically significant relationship between loneliness Feelings and Irrational thoughts among university students Salahaddin. Finally, in the shed light of this research summary the researcher casted a number of conclusions and made a number of recommendations and suggestions till further subsequent researches.
