Introduction
Hi! I'm a Master's graduate, researching children's rights with a focus on post-colonialism, children out of place and children in conflict with the law in Southern Africa. I use qualitative research methods to explore the experiences of marginalised children. My aim is to shed light on the unique challenges faced by children out of place and explore potential solutions to affect positive change. I'm currently looking for research opportunities and projects.

This study explores the lives of children in South African townships and informal settlements and their involvement in gangs. Taking a closer look at children in Cape Town's cape flats, this study seeks to understand the reasons why some children join gangs while others stay away by exploring personal and communal ties.
