Introduction
I studied Medicine at university and have been working as a doctor, primarily in the field of Intensive Care. I am now undertaking a PhD at Cardiff University studying the effects of coinfection with malaria, schistosomiasis and giardia. I aim to understand how infection history and coinfection status affects disease severity, transmission rates and treatment efficacy, using a combination of field data and mathematical modelling
