Introduction
@Sarah Cortes's research focuses on privacy, the darknet, information security, criminal legal treaties (MLATs), smart grid privacy and security (IoT), and digital forensics. Among other applications, she implemented the DNA Mixtures online tool (US DOJ grant). DNA Mixtures was highlighted in the Executive Office of the President, President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST), Report to the President: Forensic Science in Criminal Courts: Ensuring Scientific Validity of Feature-Comparison Methods in 2016.
