Introduction
A rational humanist who became an apostate after learning science and theology. Currently working on the degradation of contaminants of emerging concern (CECs) by combining advanced oxidation processes (AOPs) and catalysis. Exploring ways to inculcate catalytic AOP-based technologies into current water and wastewater treatment programs for an imminent future where the transition from conventional aging centralized treatment to decentralized/semi-centralized treatment systems is indispensable.

During the open reflux COD analysis of a mix of dibutyl phthalate and ethanol, I noticed a black clay-like suspended particle formation in the Erlenmeyer flasks after digestion. I couldn't titrate the samples after digestion. What are these particles?

Besides using radical scavengers, are there techniques to quantify hydroxyl radical production or any other radicals produced during advanced oxidation processes?
