We report the first records to Denmark of the hoverfly Cheilosia fasciata Schiner & Egger, 1853. The larvae live as leaf miners on Allium ursinum L. (ramsons). The mines are conspicuous and easily recorded. We first found larvae and mines in a forest on the island of Falster in south-eastern Denmark in 2014. Search for larvae and adults during the...

The national checklist hereby includes 286 bee species, but more species w...
In the present work the monophyly and molecular phylogenetic relationships of the genera of tribe Pipizini (Syrphidae) were investigated based on mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (COI) and nuclear 28S rDNA sequences, and the relationships among species of genus Pipiza Fallén, 1810 based on mtDNA COI sequences. Molecular phylogenetic ana...
The first Swedish records of the beetle Agrilus cyanescens were made in western Scania, southern Sweden in 2001, 2003 and 2009. The species has expanded eastwards in Denmark over the last ten years and has now crossed the Öresund into Sweden. In Sweden and Denmark both adults and larva feed on Honey suckle, Lonicera periclymenum.
