Introduction
Currently working as a consultant on a project about the revitalization of the city economy in a neighborhood of Rotterdam (The Netherlands) from an interdisciplinary perspective, using e.g. entrepreneurship, design, and (frugal) innovation. Because of changing consumer behaviors, shopping streets and shopping environments are changing and need to be redesigned to attract consumers again. New business models of shops must be designed and all other aspects influencing shopping must be taken into consideration. Methods used are research, design thinking, capacity building, and consultancy. Another project is the design of a frugal greenhouse system that is cheap and can be used all over the world by smallholder farmers, but also for city farming in modern cities.
