I am working with eggplant fruit and shoot borer, Leucinodes orbonalis since three years. For its management in the context of Nepal, Spinosad, Chlorantraniliprole found to be effective. Leucin-lure works in some extent.Tozen (http://www.totalagricare.in/prod/herbal-products/) works well but I have doubt in its chemical constitutes. If you more suggestions regarding botanicals, bio-pesticides, safer pesticides or any other innovative method, will be highly welcomed.

What data must be/ should be taken during laboratory study. Is there any references regarding life table study of this parasitoid in field condition.

Exploration, conservation and utilization of wild relatives of various crops species for national and global food security
Project
Nepal, a fertile land for plant origin and diversification, is rich in plant biodiversity, which has been used by humankind from ancient age to nowadays. Though small in area, a good number of important domesticated crops, that are now important food crops for global community, including rice, brinjal, barley, cucumber inhabitants Nepal. Besides, the country possesses many other native plant species have potential to use either as a direct food or as a genetic material in plant breeding programs. We will inventory and identify gap of Nepalese agriculturally applicable wild plant genetic resources with focus on wild relatives or cousins of crops that has either global or regional or local importance. We will underscore Nepal’s both ex-situ and in-situ conservation. We target increasing recognition of wild plant genetic resources though inadequate conservation and improving information system facilitating their future use. We will provide feedback for better conserving wild plant genetic resources in the context of current International regulatory frameworks and Sustainable Development Goals that was ratified by Government of Nepal. CWRs are potential. However, its potential can be realized only if they are well conserved in current conservation systems to ensure their availability for research. We focus to prepare and implement National strategy to conserve wild relatives.
