Introduction
My research focuses on population geography and international migration, with particular attention to interethnic relations, diasporic dynamics, and gendered experiences of mobility. I am especially interested in demographic change, natalist policies, and the evolving role of immigrant women in urban and rural contexts. Much of my recent work examines population issues in the Asia-Pacific region, particularly in Japan, from both qualitative and quantitative perspectives.
