Central to the entire discipline of heritage restoration and conservation is the concept of information management. Nevertheless, traditionally, conservation and restoration has been a poorly documented discipline, which has led not only to a lack of standardization and awareness about the processes carried out in the past, but also poses problems...

The portal of the forecourt of the old monastery of San Agustín in Seville (Spain) has been preserved in fragments. The notarial document specifying the conditions for its construction has been preserved, although the drawing that accompanied it has been lost. To a certain extent, this loss is remedied by other designs created by Hernán Ruiz. We al...

In recent years, the continuing development of architectural survey techniques based on point clouds captured by laser scanning has revolutionized the field of documentation prior to intervention, management or research in heritage. No clutch, affirming that these techniques have displaced others, such as photogrammetry, that have played an importa...

Project
This project aims to raise greater awareness and broaden knowledge and information about the sustainability of buildings through their life cycle, from a socio-cultural, environmental and economic dimension, by developing a impact-assessment tool integrated in BIM design platforms (Building Information Modeling). A way of making Europe.
Project
The aim is to explore the use of digital models – primarily BIM (Building Information Modelling) and GIS (Geographic Information Systems) – for the comprehensive and sustainable management of heritage guardianship: from a single element or ensemble to figures on a territorial scale. Based on this comprehensive approach, we will focus our attention on the field of heritage knowledge, as the seed for all other guardianship actions, and its transfer to the various disciplines involved. The models generated on the basis of this knowledge must be understood as vehicles, rather than an end in themselves, because they not only constitute a formal graphical construct but, more importantly, an information structure with input from several disciplines (architecture, archaeology, history) whose convergence facilitates the generation of practical results. KEY WORDS: heritage guardianship; digital models; building information modelling; geographic information systems; cultural. http://grupo.us.es/tutsosmodhum/
Project
The general lines of research are methodological analysis of heritage and criteria, methods and techniques for the conservation and management of heritage intervention based on information technology BIM, GIS and data visualization.
