The COVID-19 pandemic led to the explosion of biomedical waste, a global challenge to public health and the environment. Biomedical waste comprising plastic can convert into microplastics (MPs, < 5 mm) by sunlight, wave, oxidative and thermal processes, and biodegradation. MPs with additives and contaminants such as metals are also hazardous to man...
Stroke is a severe public health concern that results in the loss of life and has an adverse socioeconomic impact worldwide. The incidence of stroke has skyrocketed in recent decades, and experts anticipate this trend to continue, particularly in developing nations. Stroke risk can be reduced by many lifestyle changes, such as quitting smoking, mai...

However, serious public health concerns about their gro...
Enterococcus faecalis, known for its antibiotic resistance, virulence factors, and biofilm production, poses a public health risk when
found in seafood. This study identified antibiotic resistance patterns and virulence factors in biofilm-forming E. faecalis strains
isolated from 150 seafood samples (shrimp, crabs, and fish) collected in Banglade...
The misuse and overuse of steroid hormones in fish is an emerging problem worldwide. The data on hormonal residue in fish was less due to a lack of effective monitoring programs on hormonal use in fish production. This review revealed the findings of previously published data on different hormonal use and their residue and impact. Steroid hormones...
Reverse zoonosis or zooanthroponosis is the transfer of pathogens from humans to animals. Although less studied than zoonotic diseases, this phenomenon poses significant risks to both animal and public health. The increasing human-animal interactions driven by urbanization, globalization , and environmental changes have exacerbated the occurrence o...
Background
An umbilical hernia is common, but its incarcerated form is quite rare in dogs. An incarcerated hernia is characterized by the entrapment of herniated contents within the hernial sac, often accompanied by a constricted or narrower ring. It is usually refractory to the conservative approach, i.e., manual reduction, and surgical treatment...
Antimicrobial resistance (AMR), also known as antibiotic resistance, is a global health crisis. Many people die from diseases caused by multi-drug resistant (MDR) pathogens. Artificial intelligence (AI) involves creating computer systems that can perform tasks typically requiring human intelligence, such as visual perception, speech recognition, de...
A lateral abdominal hernia is relatively a less common incidence resulting from abdominal wall defects in cows and heifers than other types of hernias. This is usually an acquired defect, and heifers at the farm and field levels can be affected by accidental trauma or as the sequelae of poorly handled abscesses or wounds in the abdominal region inv...
