Introduction
Currently, I am involved in two EU projects:
- Integrity (H2020): empowering students through evidence-based, scaffolded learning of Responsible Conduct in Research (RCR);
- Educate to build resilience (ISFP): against radicalisation and polarisation through religious education.
At our University, I am a part of the Research Group on ethical-religious grounds and perspectives of the society and the religious studies in the context of education and violence.

There he elaborated the ethics of boundless responsibility towards all living beings as a treatment for the restoration of a decadent civilization. Until his death, Schweitzer was struggling to elaborate a worldview...
Rush development in the field of regenerative medicine opens new opportunities for fulfilling personal wishes and life's plans. There is also a possibility for women to freeze their egg cells and decide for pregnancy later in life. In addition to medical reasons for such a decision, some also advocate the justification of social reasons (career opt...

Good academic practice is more than the avoidance of clear-cut cheating. It also involves navigation of the gray zones between cheating and good practice. The existing literature has left students’ understanding of gray zone practices largely unexplored. To begin filling in this gap, we present results from a questionnaire study involving N = 1639...
The regulation of surrogacy varies between different countries. There is a trend towards greater liberalization on the global level. Ethical evaluation creates a basic dilemma: Is surrogacy a superior form of solidarity between people or the instrumentalization of a woman’s body, being contrary to the fundamental dignity of every human person? How...
Plagiarism and other transgressions of the norms of academic integrity appear to
be a persistent problem among upper secondary students. Numerous surveys have
revealed high levels of infringement of what appear to be clearly stated rules. Less
attention has been given to students’ understanding of academic integrity, and to the
potential misconcept...
In the past, religions have significantly conditioned moral standards in different societies. In a modern global society, we are witnessing a strong intertwining of different religions and worldviews, which is the reason why local communities are becoming increasingly multireligious and multicultural. Many global challenges, such as ecological cris...
Community aspects of the celebration of the sacrament of reconciliation The sacrament of reconciliation faced a crisis in the past decades. Many Catholics refuse clerical control of their own conscience, experience the sacrament as formal and legal, and cope with the difficulty in thinking about guilt and sin at all. The article argues for the rene...
Demokratyczna konstytucja Republiki Słowenii określa ścisły rozdział Kościoła i państwa.
The Judeo-Christian tradition is under criticism that the Creator's command to man on the first pages of the Bible- to subjugate the Earth and rule over it - is the foundation for the exploitative stance of man towards Creation. An in-depth analysis of the first chapters of the Genesis in the context of the whole biblical message, however, gives ma...
The Judeo-Christian tradition is blamed as the main culprit in man's exploitative stance toward the natural environment because of the Creator's command to man that he must subjugate the Earth and have dominion over it (Gen 1:28). This thesis was advanced in 1967 by Lynn White in his article The Historical Roots of Our Ecologic Crisis, which engend...
Catholic secondary schools in Slovenia developed in 2003 a unified syllabus for the course called Faith and Culture. Although the course is defined as denominational religious education, it is aimed at promoting dialogue and inter-religious cooperation. After 13 years of teaching the course according to the syllabus, a thorough survey on the qualit...
Reactions to the Post-Synodal Apostolic Exhortation Amoris Laetitia by Pope Francis have been fiercely divided in Slovenia as well. Initially, the official Church showed reluctance towards it. However, there has been more and more signs of a positive reception since the end of 2016. A great majority of the believers and pastoral co-workers understo...

Klaus Demmer (1931-2014), one of leading moral theologians after Vatican II, attributed the course of moral life of an individual to a one-time life decision. An individual conclusively defines his future through a free and conscious decision at a certain moment of his life. The article analyzes this life decision anthropologically and theologicall...
Monografija preds...

In the early nineties there was a process of democratic changes and separation from communist Yugoslavia. During the communist time, the...

Regarding the current crisis conditions, we are looking for a global ethics. This paper investigates Albert Schweitzer 's reverence for life worldview as a possible contribution to the development of such ethics. At the beginning of the twenty-first century, an increasing number of thinkers are referring to Schweitzer's ethics of reverence for life. This is particularly useful and applicable with regard to ethical attitudes towards the environment. Immediately after the First World War, Albert Schweitzer (1875–1965) diagnosed the decay of western civilizati...
Roman Globokar, Bioethics - Ethics of Life
Bioethics is a relatively new science. It appeared in the 1970’s inthe United Stated. The expression »bioethics« was coined by V. R.
