Introduction
I am currently a lecturer in the Department of Pharmacy at Universitas Islam Indonesia. I have research interests in natural chemistry and microbiology. Currently, I am exploring the process of isolating secondary metabolites and approaching endophytic microbes from plants. Expertise in using instruments for the process of extraction, fractionation, isolation, and testing in the field of microbiology. I am currently searching for secondary metabolites from several plants in Indonesia

Biofilm formation by bacteria, especially the genus Staphylococcus, is a serious health problem. Various medicinal plants have been used to control the infection, but research related to the antibiofilm activity of Coleus amboinicus is still limited. Bangun-bangun leaves (C. amboinicus) are plants from the Lamiaceae family that contain secondary me...
Program i...
Background: Pediatric patients frequently receive prescriptions for erythromycin due to its availability in
chewable tablet form. Some conditions lead to the powdering of chewable tablets to enhance patient
acceptability. Modifying the dosage form of chewable tablets into powder can change the drug's surface,
affecting its physical stability and ef...
Indonesian people are known to have traditional medicine using medicinal
plants based on heritage or stories passed down from ancestors and are immaterial
or mythical. The lack of documentation makes the use of traditional medicine not
maximized. This study aims to determine the knowledge of the community regarding
the use of medicinal plants as a...
Introduction: Some patients with comorbidity such as diabetes are at risk of worsening after being infected with the COVID-19 and they usually adjust their diet during the recovery process. Aim: To explore the use of Stevia rebaudiana leaves as a natural sweetener recommended for COVID-19 patients and the nanoparticle approach of S. rebaudiana extr...
Schizophyllum commune (fam Schizophyllaceae) is an endophytic fungus isolated from a medicinal plant Coleus amboinicus (Lour.) Spreng. This study was aimed to identify metabolite profiles, characterize bioactivities (antioxidant and cytotoxic), and analyze metabolite production of the fungus due to light exposure and initial fungal culture age. Fun...
Eltivitasari A, Rahmawati, Gemantari BM, Romadhonsyah F, Nurrochmad A, Wahyuono S, Astuti P. 2021. Effect of light exposure on secondary metabolites production of an endophytic fungus Arthrinium rasikravindrae and its antioxidant and anticancer activities. Biodiversitas 22: 3156-3163. Endophytic microorganisms are one of the promising sources in pr...
Coleus amboinicus (Lour.) is a medicinal plant containing various bioactive compounds. Endophytes are microorganisms living inside intracellular tissue of plants and known as the source of bioactive compounds. In order to explore the potential of endophyte in producing novel bioactive compounds, this study focused on isolating endophytic fungi from...
Endophytes have drawn the attention of researchers regarding their abilities to produce novel and bioactive compounds having medicinal values. Some studies reported that light could affect fungal secondary metabolite production. This study examined the effect of light exposure to metabolite profiles of an endophytic fungus isolated from the stem of...
The aim of this study was to determine the physical and chemical stabilities of tablets containing Sonchus arvensis L leaves extract and Lumbricus rubellus. The tablets were produced by wet granulation process. The stability test was observed during a 3-month accelerated stability under 40 ± 2ºC and 75 ± 5% RH storage conditions. The tablets were e...
