Questions

Questions (9)
Question
... or whether art and design is of central importance in the nationwide curricula (especially with regard to general competences)?
Question
Arts and culture and creativity - both material and immaterial heritage, skills and competences - are resources that should be protected and promoted. They not only contribute to the realisation of the SDGs, but also make them possible to a special degree. Only culturally sensitive, creative, unconventional approaches to solutions ensure the success of measures to achieve the SDGS.
Why does art not appear explicitly in the SDGS? But purely as a cross-cutting issue?
Question
Enabling students to establish their own values and try out new ideas should be central moments of teaching. It is through "do-it-yourself" and "self-appropriation" that an understanding of personal empowerment develops in the first place and enables work with and in groups to be productive and successful.
Main areas of focus are:
- Diversity as an opportunity: using practical experiences and different perspectives of participants and trainers.
- Transcultural teamwork that positively promotes identity
- Developing coping strategies against racism and discrimination and promoting self-organization and participation.
Especially self-determined painting and drawing, creative design promotes empowerment in the transcultural field and offers further perspectives for self-realization.
The fact that unfortunately in many areas of the school, the education other ways are intervened, is a large problem, which forms many young humans negatively and loads traumatically a life-long.
The main part of the adult population claims to have never been able to "paint" and "draw" and does not dare to tread unfamiliar paths and to playfully experiment with the challenges of life. And this is a global tragedy.
Question
Report on the attempts to calculate ideals of beauty mathematically by means of proportion studies using the golden section!
Is beauty measurable??!
Question
Time and again the question arises: Is there a concrete dividing line between art therapy and art (pedagogy)?
Art producers work far from the norm, art education also only succeeds far from the mainstream. Art is a medium to distance oneself and at the same time to increase well-being.
Art and (art) education are at the same time very distinct from art therapy (and vice versa). Are there points of contact and synergies?

The Erasmus+ project SLIDE ‘Service-Learning as a pedagogy to promote Inclusion, Diversity and Digital Empowerment’ (1/01/22-31/12/24) aims to intertwine the Service-Learning (SL) pedagogy with Digital Empowerment (DE) to promote Inclusion (I) and diversity. The project brings together students and academics from a wide range of European HEI’s to draw on existing practices, share knowledge and develop best practices in and with the community where all become teaching resources, problem solvers, and partners. https://slide.reu.pub.ro/ SLIDE aims to intertwine the service-learning pedagogy with digital empowerment to promote inclusion and diversity. The SLIDE project is a collaboration between ten partners: seven Higher Education Institutions (HEI’s) and three national/regional Service-Learning networks in Europe. The SLIDE project is coordinated by the University Centre Saint Ignatius Antwerp (UCSIA) in Belgium.

Located in the centre of Vienna, the street Spalowskygasse; has the length of only three houses and a school, is to become a car-free pedestrian zone from summer 2022. An "artistic encounter zone" is to be established between the sculptor's studio and the Spalowskygasse school site with the participation of the neighbourhood. The ‘Spalowskygasse Artistic Encounter Zone’ initiates a public design discourse. It aims to expand the circle of participants beyond already established knowledge alliances (Erasmus+ research projects Rural 3.0_SL; SLUSIK; SLIDE and Art Education Actions) and co-creators and to create new synergies. The urban artistic intervention is to be presented as a form of learning for this purpose. In order to implement this successfully beyond the classroom, the approaches of Service-Learning will be used. ‘Engaged Learning’ can help to ensure student participation with a curricular connection outside of the classroom and school building and to network the educative institution with its partners, communities and neighbourhood. In addition, we want to address the issue of how openness to results is compatible with a successful project conclusion, not only for pupils and school but also for the actors involved. Keywords: Service-Learning, Third Mission, Art & Education, Social Sculpture, Empowerment.

The European Association of Service-Learning in Higher Education (EASLHE) presents its Policy Brief entitled –A European Framework for the Institutionalization of Service-Learning in Higher Education. The Policy Brief responds to the need for establishing channels that facilitate the construction of a model of Higher Education institutions that promote sustainability and social responsibility through the use of service-learning, a powerful methodology that contributes to putting the civic commitment of higher education into practice by improving learning, developing social responsibility, and strengthening the communities. EASLHE proposes the institutionalization of service-learning in European Higher Education institutions to promote civic engagement, contribute to the development of a fairer society and improve academic and social learning that favors the development of the students’ competences.
