Background: Physical activity, sedentary behaviour, and diet synergically coexist (in different ways) within adolescents’ lifestyles. Thus, understanding obesogenic behaviour patterns within populations is critical to promoting adolescents’ health. This study investigates clustering patterns of adolescents’ obesogenic behaviours across South Americ...
Aging, a universal and inevitable process, is characterized by a progressive accumulation of physiological alterations and functional decline over time, leading to increased vulnerability to diseases and ultimately mortality as age advances. Lifestyle factors, notably physical activity (PA) and exercise, significantly modulate aging phenotypes. Phy...
In this quasi-experimental before-after trial, we investigated the effects of a high-intensity, low-repetition inspiratory muscle training (HI-LRMT) protocol on respiratory muscle strength in instrumental musicians. In addition, was to estimate the prevalence of “non-responders” (NRs) in terms of muscle force after intervention. Healthy musicians (...
Background
Muscular strength is a powerful marker of current health status and robust predictor of age-related disease and disability. Handgrip strength (HGS) using isometric dynamometry is a convenient, feasible, and widely used method of assessing muscular strength among people of all ages. While adult HGS norms have been published for many count...
We hypothesized that non-hospitalized patients with long COVID would benefit from structured exercise. In a randomized cross-over trial, we assessed the effects of a 6-week personalized PRT intervention, with a 5-day washout period between arms on cardiopulmonary fitness, muscular strength, long COVID symptoms, QoL, and emotional distress.

Background
Adherence to 24-hour movement behavior recommendations, including physical activity (PA), sedentary time, and sleep, is essential for the healthy development of preschool children. Gamified family-based interventions have shown the potential to improve adherence to these guidelines, but evidence of their effectiveness among children is l...
