Project
The logistics and transport sector is one of the major contributors to various ecological threats such as air pollution, congestion, noise, global warming and resource depletion. This project aims at investigating how to facilitate green logistics practices through aligning shippers, LSPs, and other involved key stakeholders. Specifically, the project aims to (i) analyse what stimulates shippers (i.e. logistics buyers) and LSPs to engage in green practices via buying/providing them, (ii) investigate how the efforts of shippers and LSPs could be better aligned during the green logistics purchasing process, and (iii) set examples of environmentally-sound logistics practices while analysing how their facilitation can succeed through aligning the key involved stakeholders.
Project
For decades, Lean production principles have provided guidance for organising work and processes within manufacturing firms. However, arguments have been raised that the use of digital technologies can lead to similar performance benefits. The purpose of the project is to analyse how digitalisation relates to Lean organisation in manufacturing firms.
