Introduction
Roberto Paternostro is a doctor of language sciences. In his thesis, he devoted himself to the study of the socio-phonetic aspects of young people's speech in the Paris region and their didactic consequences. In August 2018, he was appointed Director of the Maison des Langues and Senior Lecturer at the School of French Language and Civilization of the University of Geneva. He continues his research in the field of sociodidactics and French as a Second and Foreign Language (FLE/S). He is the author of about forty publications. His work focuses on the description of spoken French and the place of sociolinguistic variation in the teaching-learning of French as a foreign language.
