Introduction
Ranjan Kumar Sahoo, currently pursuing Ph.D. in the Department of Education (CIE), University of Delhi. He is working in the broad area of Higher Education in India. He is a Post Graduate Gold Medallist in Education from Ravenshaw University, Cuttack. He also holds a Master of Political Science Degree from the IGNOU. Sahoo has also worked as a Research Associate on a Major Research Project sponsored by ICSSR in the Department of Education, University of Delhi (2018-20).

The aim was also to explore how school education plays a key role in instilling the ideas and values of citizenship and democracy; and how it helps young students to be critical, responsible, and democratic citizens.
