Introduction
Dr. Rabiul Islam is a Professor at the Department of Social Work, University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh. Dr. Islam does research in social capital and disaster resilience, community-based disaster risk reduction, climate change adaptation, and gender and disaster. His current project is 'How Faith-Based Organizations (FBOs) respond to disaster risk reduction (DRR) in the Bangladesh coast'.
