Introduction
In Germany, I work as a research group leader in medical psychology, a board-certified psychotherapist, psycho-oncologist, and clinical ethics consultant at the University Medical Center Hamburg. My work focuses on person-centered healthcare, medical decision-making in cancer care, and medical assistance in dying. From January to June 2023, I was a Visiting Scholar in Palliative Care at BIDMC/Harvard in Boston. Starting September 2023, I will be a Bioethics Fellow at Harvard Medical School.
