Introduction
Galyna’s work focuses on the hybrid war of Russia against Ukraine. She is particularly interested in strategic communications, information policy, propaganda and counter-propaganda. Galyna has published about 100 journal articles, monographs and encyclopedia chapters in Ukraine and Poland on: information war of Russia against Ukraine, positioning of Ukraine abroad in conditions of information aggression, Ukraine-EU interaction opposing information threats.

Description
  • In March 2022, Dr. Piskorska was forced to leave Ukraine as a result of Russia's full-scale invasion. Currently, she holds the position of Honorary Principal Fellow at the Centre for Advanced Journalism at the University of Melbourne, where she conducts research work and delivers guest lectures. Specifically, she is interested in exploring the issues of misinformation and disinformation, as well as the heroic efforts of the Ukrainian people to resist the Russian invasion.
