Introduction
I am researcher with a wide interest in aquatic ecology. During my PhD I investigated the impact and spread of alien macroinvertebrates in different aquatic habitats. As a postdoctoral researcher I tried to disentangle the combined effects of environmental conditions and invasive species on ecosystem structure and functioning. Currently, I am working on ecological water quality assessment, the spread of invasive crayfish and restoration of aquatic ecosystems in Flanders (Belgium).
