Introduction
Being French-British, I noticed that many papers in English use reversed namings of the North and South poles of magnets (to definitions of physics books), which is a significant parameter in some cases.
I am preparing a review article whether there are distinct effects of what different research teams consider as:
- magnetic north and south polarities or,
- upward and downward fields (relative to gravity) or,
- only field directions towards the target.
To be published end of 2025.
