Introduction
Being French-British, I noticed that many papers in English use reversed namings of the North and South poles of magnets (to definitions of physics books), which can be a significant parameter!
I am preparing a review article whether there is a magnetic distinct effect of what different research teams consider as:
- magnetic north and south polarities,
- or upward and downward fields (relative to gravity),
- or only field direction (regardless of spatial orientation).
To be published in 2025.

The myorelaxant effects of melatonin are significantly reduced by a static magnetic field of 35 mT applied for 10 minutes.
All static magnetic fields applications easily available (from professionals to laymen):
*Anti-inflammatory and sedative effects, * stimulative effect of magnetized irrigation, * magnetochemistry…
Questions
Question (1)
Preparing a review about potential distinct effects of North and South poles (or upward/downward) in biology, chemistry, chirality, etc, I would appreciate any signaling of publications to supplement a databank dedicated to this overlooked parameter, whether confirming or invalidating.
Also, any comments, exchanges or collaboration will be welcome.
