During a survey of Eurasien Eagle Owl Bubo bubo in Languedoc (South France) I recorded behaviours indicating a low tolérance between the Owl on one hand and both species of Eagles (Hieraaetus fasciatus and Aquila chrysaetos) on the other. Our observations of 25 pairs (Bubo bubo) enabled us to controle 107 broods. They show that the reproduction of this bird of prey is favoured by an open environment on the one hand and the nearness of villages and cultivated areas on the other hand.
