SUNRISE is an International Surveillance Study of Movement Behaviours in the Early Years. Bringing together researchers from low-, middle-, and high-income countries across the globe, the SUNRISE study aims to measure physical activity, sedentary behaviour and sleep for children under the age of 5 years. The SUNRISE Coordinating Centre is based at the University of Wollongong, Australia. The main of the study is to determine the proportion of 4-year-old Chilean children who meet the WHO Global 24-hour Movement Guidelines for the Early Years. A secondary aim is to determine if these proportions differ by sex or urban/rural location.
