Nowadays, there is a trend of securing all the communication through the public internet network by means of an encryption. However, there are plenty of cases where this automatic encryption is not available or its use is not desirable for many different reasons. This article is focused on the authentication passwords' protection being sent through the public network of the internet without any other securing elements. An algorithm presented makes the secure authentication for applications communicating with a server possible. An algorithm's principle is based on the similar way of securing passwords as it is the securing user passwords in databases. A main innovation and a condition of the protection consist in the server's ability to identify already used salts and to require their uniqueness in incoming messages. Thanks to its unique salts, the server either completely Petr Voborník and Radek Němec 134 excludes sending passwords or their simply hashes, however, herewith excludes receiving kinds of "man in the middle" messages counterfeited by an attacker, namely including options of repeated sending messages and demand captured by him before. A programmer implementation of the mentioned procedure is very easy and in addition to it can be applied on a multiple platform. A first-rate user password being used, it is going to provide an authentication safe enough for a client's application of the communication with the server, even when no other securing technologies are used. At the same time, a communication deceleration of every particular connection due this principle is reasonably low.
The article deals with the research on the quality of life in the area of preferences for life values and the degree of life satisfaction. The survey was conducted in 419 respondents among university students and selected samples of population in the period of younger and older adulthood throughoutthe years 2016-2017. The data was obtained on the basis of a newly created electronic application of the SEIQoL method. In the period of young adulthood the most frequently chosen value was the family (53% of respondents). In older adulthood the first and second positions are shared by the home and family values (48.0%). The results show that the respondents in older adulthood on average expect higher fulfilment of the values (by 3.2%), and in fact they are also more satisfied with their life (by 1.1%) than the respondents in the period of young adulthood. Representatives of all three surveyed fields of study (FM - Financial Management, IM+AI - Information Management and Applied Informaticsand MCR - Management of Tourism) unanimously prefer values of family, education and friendship in the first three positions. Students of FM have the highest expected degree of satisfaction of all the surveyed groups (75.4%). They are closely followed by students of MCR while IT students of IM+AI have the lowest expectation (70.6%). The research has confirmed the preference for classical traditional life values even in today ́s modern world.
This article describes the results of the phone interviews across the Czech Republic at primary (lower secondary) schools focused on mapping the using robotic kits and 3D printers. The article contains the second part. The design and development of robotic hand. The robot hand will be first designed by means of the CAD system and then printed out by a 3D printer. Arduino and 3D printers will be used on the construction. The Arduino platform, which will control small electronics (servo motors) and mechanics parts (printed by the 3D printer). The article presents a robotic hand design using the Adobe Inventor CAD system. The results of the phone interview present that schools possess minimum robotic construction kits and 3D printers. However, if school have 3D printer they used to create their own robots or replacing parts for robotics.

Article presents the results of research into the effectiveness of the project "First Steps to FIM" – PKNF. The research involved a total of 326 first-year students in the years 2012–2016. The aim of the survey was to demonstrate that the project PKNF acts as a positive cognitive strategies is useful, and students are satisfied with it. There was a method of quantitative questionnaires and qualitative SWOT analysis. The SWOT analysis of 2014 shows that users are provided with information in the course satisfied. Appreciate guidance articles supplemented with multimedia content, live video, nice graphics and search functions. SWOT analysis of 2015/16 brought a positive evaluation of the new tools for obtaining feedback with the help of Google Analytics. The research results will be used for timely information and quick adaptation of students entering the FIM. SWOT analysis 2015/16 users especially appreciate the erudition implementation team, which is composed of teachers and the students.
According to the research carried out in the last five years in terms of frustration tolerance, students on average range throughout the whole school year within the optimal third zone. In terms of using strategies when handling stress, healthy coping strategies are most frequently used, namely by more than half of respondents. Among university students the psychosomatic symptom of tiredness and a lack of energy has the highest proportion, the lowest occurrence was found among sport management students (more than one third). The online application, which enabled subjective questioning and classification into stress factors, was set up and placed on the Web.

The aim of this study is to clarify the current theoretical background of the issues dealing with stress factors as well as to introduce the course and statistical evaluation of our own research. It focuses on the connection between stress load and behaviour of university students. In the research the following areas are monitored: life style, living and social conditions and the influence of negative emotions on stress increase. The method of the research is subjective questioning and statistical processing of correlations in the field of frustration tolerance, handling stress and psychosomatic symptoms.
The article deals with the quality of life of the group of university students in 2013–2014 with respect to the proportion of light and heavy physical activity, as well as light and heavy mental activity. The subjective dimension and the personal level of the quality of life area are also covered in this article. The data analysis revealed that in the category of heavy physical activity such as regular exercise and sport, students demonstrate the compliance with the minimum healthy daily standards according to professional criteria. On the average men are engaged more in heavy physical activities than women. In the category of heavy mental activity, the top three positions are supposedly occupied by studies, education and information retrieval. In the category of light mental activity, the order of the top five positions is the same in both gender groups. Besides the dedication to social relations, watching TV, listening to music and reading, the time spent on social network Facebook is currently getting in the third position. At the same time, the application for processing a diary was prepared and subsequently a statistical data analysis is carried out.
Currently, eLearning is an essential part of teaching at universities and it is also applied increasingly in secondary schools. For teaching purposes, various learning management systems (LMSs) are usually used. These systems are often used rather as mere data storages of text documents and presentations that are not multimedia, interactive and do not take advantage of the potential of these LMSs. One of the possible ways of expanding and enriching teaching materials by multimedia and in some cases even the interactive tools will be presented in this paper. Video-tutorials are the tool that is currently easy creatable and very useful tool, but also often a disregarded one. The article will present best practices for the complete production of custom video-tutorials in the form of screen recording and sound, i.e. preparing, recording, editing, effects, and distribution. Subsequently, specific recommendations, experience and results from the practice of using such video-tutorials for teaching several courses focused on teaching of programming at different levels will be summarized.
The article presents the results of the research on the efficiency of the First Steps at Faculty of Informatics and Management (FSAF) project. Almost three hundred first year students in total participated in the research in the years 2012–2016. The aim of the survey was to prove that the FSAF project is useful and the students are satisfied with it. The methods of quantitative questionnaire survey and qualitative SWOT analysis were used here - it searches for and classifies strengths and weaknesses of the project in the internal environment and opportunities and threats for the project in the external environment. The results of empirical research showed that the course FSAF become the primary source of information in the last year. Students used primarily FSAF in solving problems, which correspond with the most visited sections of the course. Students preferred the course before the traditionally exploited resources of information. This fact can bring time and economic savings to the university, such as workload study department and printing of information brochures. The SWOT analysis from 2015/16 shows that the students are satisfied with the information provided in the course. They appreciate instructive articles complemented by multimedia content, up-to-date video records, pleasant graphic design and the search engine function. In the year 2015/16 was newly implemented Google analytics. The results will be used for the timely provision of information and a quick adaptation of students when entering to the university.

Nickel is a metal that can be present in products containing hardened edible oils, possibly as leftover catalyst from the vegetable oil hardening process. Nickel may cause toxic effects including the promotion of cancer and contact allergy. In this work, nickel content was determined in hydrogenated vegetable fats and confectionery products, made with these fats, available on the Czech market using newly developed method combining microwave digestion and graphite furnace AAS. While concentrations of 0.086 ± 0.014 mg.kg⁻¹ or less were found in hydrogenated vegetable fats, the Ni content in confectionery products was significantly higher, varying between 0.742 ± 0.066 and 3.141 ± 0.217 mg.kg⁻¹. Based on an average consumer basket, daily intake of nickel from vegetable fats is at least twice as low as intake from confectionery products. Based on results, the levels of nickel in neither vegetable fats nor confectionery products, do not represent a significant health risk.
Optimization of selection of questions into the test from a larger set of issues is a problematic topic, often solved in test systems, which is usually processed only by simple random sampling. An original proposal of a sophisticated selection method customized to the test applications will be presented in this article in detail. The principle is based on a modern version of the theory of forgetting. This theory is modified by the possibility of determining the period of testing and it is also complemented by the knowledge factor. The probability of selecting each of the questions into the test are then determined from the combination of these components according to the principles of genetic algorithms. Thanks to this method, tested users are presented more often with such questions the topics of which these users don't have sufficiently fixed in their memory, and those they should revive again. In evaluated testing, this method can check with students whether they already have learned the theme, which they did not known the last time. This model can be an inspiration not only for the implementation of future testing applications but also for further development of the theory of choice functions, ether in this or an entirely different science branch.

The article deals with the current population's quality of life standard. It compares the relation between the beginning and the end of university studies and between university students of two towns in the Czech Republic. It follows up Vital Mind project which was going on at University of Hradec Králové. It presents the results of the research carried out in five years as a part of students' projects. More than one hundred and fifty university students participated in the study. It was conducted in 4 groups of respondents. To assess the quality of life standard the method of subjective questioning SEIQoL based on a guided interview was used. The study provides an innovative newly created application for the online electronic completion and evaluation of the questionnaire.
The traditional object-oriented programming frameworks are currently the most widely used method for creating large information systems. Configuration frameworks are their alternative or rather an extension, which are not yet widespread in practical use for desktop applications, despite their huge potential. This innovative method offers many advantages, such as deployment of new modules and whole versions without reinstallation on workstations and disrupting business, easy iterative development and maintenance etc. The paper presents this original approach on a concrete example of the test management administration interface and also shows possibilities of analogical processing other similar systems. Using a technology of the configuration framework for the development of a such systems could bring significant benefits to developers and to users, e.g. easy and fast installation and updates, low memory requirements, small application size, easy system maintenance without necessity of experts etc. As this article illustrates, creating of a unique completely original configuration framework for any specific needs is not so difficult, and it is worthwhile in many cases due to the subsequent savings.
The article deals with the subjective quality of life and value system of the current population. It presents the results of a research from the years 2014–2015. To assess the quality of life standard the method of subjective questioning SEIQoL was used. The research has confirmed the priority of traditional values of health, friends, family and partner. In the group of secondary school students self-fulfilment and interpersonal relationships are among the top ten most frequently chosen subjects while university students on the other hand are more focused on travelling and leisure activities. Men unlike women include interpersonal relationships and entertainment in the first ten values while women prefer values of mental well-being and self-fulfilment. The study brings an original newly created application for electronic completion and evaluation of the questionnaire.
The article illustrates the new unique coding method for describing the properties of different objects of the virtual and real world into the so-called characteristic text strings. The basic description of the object can be summarized into a very short text string by this method. These strings are comprised only of the basic characters of the alphabet and numbers and it is easily to readable by humans. These strings can be easily and very quickly compared with each other and determine mutual difference of described objects. Total and partial difference (differences in specific properties) may be calculated at any time. This enables us to easily find the object that is most dissimilar from or most similar to the pattern object. The whole principle of characteristic text strings is demonstrated on generating random elements in the test questions. Thanks to this principle, a complicated structure can be described of each randomly generated question by the short string. On the basis of this, such procedures can be suggested for repeatedly used questions that ensure generating of the most different version from versions used previously. The applicability is thus of each of the test questions maximized. Another area of use of characteristic text strings are then presented, such as web online shops, vehicle license plate, genetic algorithms, and more.

With regard to the methods used in the research the answers obtained in subjective questioning were statistically processed and then the respondents were classified into the zones of stress potential. In the field of frustration tolerance half of the top-level sportsmen group have low to average value of stress factors. The situation is similar in the recreational sportsmen group where 50% of them also show low to average value of stress factors. As far as coping with stress is concerned it has been revealed that about two thirds of the surveyed top-level athletes. In terms of handling stress it has been found out that 68% of people from the top-level athletes group fall into the third stress zone and in the common population group 72% of its members again fall into the healthiest third zone. The electronic online application which enabled subjective questioning and classification into stress factors was set up and placed on the web.
This article summarizes current approaches for the transmission of the data for the client-server applications which communicate via the public internet. On their basis an entirely new approach is proposed that ensures to minimize server load and maximize user comfort when working with a client application. This method encapsulates all operations into two class libraries, one of which operates on the server side and the second is integrated into the client application. Data are submitted to the client application in a clear object-oriented form, including references between them, only minimized and uncomplicated text strings are sent via the internet and these data are automatically stored on the server in a classic relational database. In addition to the data transfer this method also solves object-relational mapping. Using the method presented in the article also brings comfort for applications developers and they can thus concentrate more on the development of application logic.

This article is focused on the transmission of the data in the client-server applications which communicate via the public internet. The emphasis is placed on minimizing server load and maximizing user comfort when working with a client application. The method presented in the article enables encapsulating all this work into two class libraries, one of which operates on the server side and the other is integrated into the client application. The data are automatically stored on the server in a classic relational database, only minimized and uncomplicated text strings are sent via the internet and these data are submitted to the client application in a clear object code form. This approach also brings comfort for applications developers who thus are able to focus more on application logic.

These frameworks in their pure form are not yet widespread in practical use for desktop applications, despite their huge potential. They offer many advantages, such as iterative development, deployment of new modules without reinstallation on workstations, distribution of new versions without disrupting business, easy development and maintenance etc. The article depicts this innovative approach, which is especially suitable for the production of large-scale IT systems, on a specific example of an administration interface for test management. The article also shows the possibility of processing other similar systems, analogically. If such a system was based on the configuration framework, it could bring significant benefits to both its authors and users, e.g. small size of applications, low memory requirements, easy installation, uncomplicated update during runtime, the fact that even a non-expert can handle the framework maintenance etc. Creating a unique completely original framework for any specific needs is not so difficult, and due to the subsequent savings it is worthwhile in many cases.

The whole principle of characteristic text strings is subsequently demonstrated on generating random elements in the test questions. The paper deals with stress factors in top-level athletes and in people doing a sport as a common leisure activity. The method of the research is a subjective questioning, statistical processing and eventually classifying respondents into the zones of stress potential with regard to frustration tolerance, handling stress and psychosomatic symptoms. The research has revealed that in the area of frustration tolerance half of the top-level sportsmen group range between the second and third zone of stress potential (18-29%), where the third stress zone is understood to be the optimal one. In the leisure sport activity group half of these people are also included in the second and third zones (18-41%). In terms of handling stress it has been found out that 68% of people from the top-level athletes group fall into the third stress zone and in the common population group 72% of its members again fall into the healthiest third zone. In the area of psychosomatic symptoms the group of top-level athletes show in the first place the feelings of tiredness and energy shortage (47%). Similarly in the group of recreational sportsmen the feelings of tiredness and energy shortage are also shown in the highest rate (37%). The electronic application for subjective questioning and the possibility of classification into stress potential zones was created on the address http://qol.alltest.eu/stress.
The authors of this article did the research on the effectiveness of the “First Steps at FIM” project – FSAF and its results are presented here. 610 first year students in total were surveyed in the years 2012 – 2014 with the objective to prove that the FSAF project is useful and meets students´ needs. The authors used the methods of quantitative questionnaire survey and qualitative SWOT analysis. It was found out that the course is not used by only 16% of students out of their total number. It gives us the evidence for usefulness and popularity of the course among most students. The SWOT analysis from 2014 indicates that the information provided by the course makes students more satisfied. The features, such as instructive articles complemented by multimedia content, up-to-date video records, a pleasant graphic design and the search engine function are highly appreciated by the students. This implies that the information should be provided to new students in time in order that they could adapt quickly to university studies at FIM UHK.
Algorithm of the perfect cipher has been known since the beginning of the last century. However, this procedure requires respecting of strict conditions that complicated the practical use of the cipher. Original conditions of Vernam perfect cipher will be discussed at first in detail in this article. The original approach of characters will then be transferred to the bit level. The modification of work with the encryption keys with the use of modern hash algorithms will be proposed so that the major factors that prevent the practical use of the cipher will be removed and most of their benefits will be preserved. The proposed new encryption algorithm will be subjected to the measurement of speed in conclusion, and these results will be compared with other known encryption algorithms.
This article presents the new mini-language for effective definition of color gradients for the languages of vector graphics. Mini-language supports two types of gradients: linear and radial. It lets define all variants of color transitions supported by modern vector systems. The code is much shorter and easier than in its alternatives such as XAML and SVG. The entire definition is written within one intuitively the assembled string. Implementation of the presented mini-language could substantially encapsulate and streamline the source code for vector graphics.
The article deals with the quality of life of the present population in three generations with respect to the share of light and heavy physical activities as well as light and heavy mental activities. The subjective dimension and the personal level in the quality of life area are covered in this article too. At the same time we prepared an application for processing diaries and subsequently carrying out a statistical data analysis.

The principle of the perfect cipher has been known for almost a century. Unfortunately conditions that must be complied with its use still complicate its practical use. Principle of the perfect Vernam cipher will be summarized in this article. Pursuant of it and with the use of modern hash algorithms the modification of work with the encryption keys will be proposed so that the major factors that prevent the practical use of the cipher will be removed and most of their benefits will be preserved. The results of measuring the speed at which this cipher is able to work and its comparison with other ciphers will also be presented.
The Universal Testing Environment is a sophisticated electronic cloud online test system, containing features that make it exceptional compared to other test systems. Moodle is a very widespread open-source LMS tool that has a many modules that can be used to implement a full-fledged eLearning teaching. This article will describe how these two systems were connected and tests in the Universal testing environment so they can be run directly from the Moodle course. This connection was realized through an External tool module, which is part of Moodle. Thanks to the Bridge design pattern then it was not necessary intervention into the code of any of both systems. This “bridge” translate LTI (Learning Tools Interoperability) protocol, which communicates Moodle, to the URL in format required by application interface (API) of Universal testing environment. This functionality is currently used at the University of Hradec Králové and the high school Podorlické vzdělávací centrum in Dobruška.

The subject of the article is the research into the quality of life standard in the Czech Republic. The results show the relation between the age and the system of values among four generations. The research was carried out in the years 2010-2012 and it followed up the international project Vital Mind. It was going on at the University of Hradec Králové. Three of the surveyed groups place on top the values of health and family, the only exception is the group of university students ranking the value of health as far as on the fourth position. This proves the fact that university students the healthiest part of the population.

The article presents the results of the research into stress factors among employees of the Municipal Office in Svitavy. The aim of the survey is to determine the degree of vulnerability to stress, psychosomatic symptoms in stress and the probability degree of becoming ill or a serious accident in stress. Psychological methods of stress load subjective assessment are used here. Throughout the years 2009 to 2011 the respondents’ vulnerability to stress increased by 5%, in 2011 more than 50% of the respondents show neurotic psychosomatic symptoms and at the end of the research 13% of the respondents report the value of potential stress 60%.
Tato kniha je zaměřena především na podrobný popis základních modulů činností. Vysvětluje, k čemu jsou především určeny, jak se vytvářejí a nastavují, nastiňuje možné způsoby jejich dalšího použití a jejich vazby na další moduly. Text je určen především učitelům, kteří chtějí vytvořit či obohatit své kurzy o další zajímavé prvky, více využívající bohatých možností, které Moodle nabízí, a nechtějí, aby jejich kurzy byly pouze pouhou sbírkou PDF, prezentací a odkazů. Popis činností je totiž obohacen o řadu zkušeností a typů nabytých praxí.

The objective of the article is to clarify the relation between the stress load and behaviour of young people in contemporary society on the basis of our own research. In the first place we monitor the area of lifestyle, social conditions and the influence of negative emotions on stress increase. The importance of mental hygiene is also emphasized. The personal research was carried out among the first year students of FIM UHK during one semester of the year 2012. We opted for the method of determining stress potential zones by means of a questionnaire survey. We defined the representation of students in each zone according to both sex and a branch of study – Financial Management, Information Management and Sport Management. In the conclusion we also mentioned the amount of students’ ability to adapt to increased demands of university studies.
The thesis “Universal Testing Environment” focuses on the electronic testing, e-testing, its current possibilities and the issues of new product development, same as solutions for numerous specific tasks in this field. The first part analyzes the present state, describes and evaluates several existing systems for various categories of e-testing. The shortcomings of these systems were identified through user questionnaires evaluation and thus have become the basis, together with undoubtedly their positive qualities, for the design and gradual creation of a universal testing environment. It attempts to avoid the shortcomings of existing systems, to enlarge and to enrich the functionality by new desirable functions and at the same time it reflects the current contemporary trends in application development. The second part of the thesis presents the results of this main goal (i.e. the creation of the universal testing environment) and of the particular goals (i.e. original solutions of tasks important for the main goal). A proprietary language is introduced for the creation of testing questions, it enables to present them in rich graphic and interactive presentation, and it also offers the possibility to use random selections directly for individual questions. Thanks to that they can be used repeatedly without the risk of being interpreted mechanically, i.e. without the true understanding of the matter. The usage of this function does not limit in any way the automatic evaluation of the tests, on the contrary it offers a much wider possibility for the overall or partial evaluation of the testing results, including the support for the resemblance of two text strings calculation containing a typing error. Problems created by the development of the testing environment are presented in the following subchapters. They were solved by original procedures based on current know-how and research. The guidelines for these subsystems were also designed and described so that they could be used also outside of this project as the basis or an overall methodology for the research and development of similar systems. For example a new way for the selection of test questions was created which takes into account the previous results and the training curve. Characteristic strings again enable advance work with random elements inside the testing topics and their use for the generating of more varied than just merely random values. The specific protected communication between the client application and the server via the internet is described, from the user-end, the coding of the data, and also automatic efficient exchange and object-relational data mapping. For the administrator interface the access to the configuration framework was designed, created and described, it represents an alternative to the classical frameworks programmed structurally or in objects. It brings numerous advantages namely for the development of desktop or RIA information systems. In many cases the optimal solution was reached through newly created mini-languages which can be an inspiration not only for their direct use in future projects but namely as a guidance for the solution of some new problems. In the concluding chapters you will find examples of the presently used universal testing environments and their integration into third party application interface.
Selection of the questions for the compilation of periodically repeating tests may be completely random. Also it may be a sophisticated process which will increase their usability. In this article will be introduced one of these models. These model attempts to appropriately combined all relevant components for optimize the selection of questions to test and raise the effectiveness for purpose. This selection model can also be inspiration in other disciplines too.
There are many ways to secure communication between the individual parts of distributed applications. But some of them are not resistant of all types of attacks and some cannot be used multi-platform. Secure authentication is necessary especially when communicating via web services. Some existing solutions will be presented in the article and a new original method will be introduced. The presentation of the results of experimental measurement of the speed of this algorithm will be included.

There are many computer testing systems, but a test on the paper is still one of the most used in practice. We would like to introduce the benefits of the testing tools from classic "paper" in the article. We will introduce several systems and we show their options, advantages and ways to uses. We will show you what types of questions these systems supports, how they allows the setting of conditions and the testing process and how their automatic evaluation looks like. At the end we introduce a new currently developed test portal.
Secure communication of client application with the server by the public Internet network can be secured by a variety of different effective ways. One of the main problems encountered is the “man-in-the-middle attack”, where such communication is monitored, recorded, analyzed, and may even be modified by an attacker or repeatedly inappropriately used. This paper presents the issues and some existing solutions. On the basis of the algorithm describes how to secure communication, the active intervention of any attacker. This principle is also as easy to understand and to implement, without special programming of advanced functions.
V článku se zamýšlíme nad významem a přínosem využití multimediálních aplikací při studiu předmětu Algoritmy a datové struktury, který je zaměřen na rozvoj algoritmického myšlení. Na několika příkladech ilustrujeme vhodnost jejich zařazení do výuky zmíněného předmětu, především z hlediska vizualizace a testování přednášené látky. Zdůrazňujeme též výhody uplatnění digitálních vzdělávacích objektů při přípravě studijních materiálů i celého prostředí tyto materiály obsahující.
Multimedia applications give us an excellent chance to demonstrate, visualize, describe and test the subject matter more clearly and comprehensibly. The paper presents methodology which has proved successful in the course Algorithms and Data Structures. It uses the latest technology and enables both successful teaching and learning. Several multimedia applications created by the author will be briefly described and their use for teaching and learning processes of the mentioned subject will be discussed. The created multimedia tools are intended not only for the explanation and visualization of the subject matter, but also for testing the knowledge of the students. Some statistical results about the use of the tools will be presented here as well.
The presentation of the e-learning course ”The First Steps at FIM UHK “– here you can find the basic information about the studies at the University (WebCT - Oliva, ISIT, school web and technical safeguard, student account, map and transport of Hradec Králové, academic senate, cooperation with foreign students, etc). Each section of the course is analysed in accordance with its utility and also graphically elaborated. As the completion of the course there are suggestions and demands of the students (in accordance with the research in 2009/10). We also present the topical data and graphical elaboration as a background for updating the course. The first lecture “Welcome to FIM” introduces the studies at the University. The presentation of responsible representatives of the University is followed by the discussion about topical themes. The further steps: an analysis of the student feedback and information about foreign studies. There will also be presented suggestions of the students of other years. We would like to develop a section “Work and further career of the graduates”.
The new principle of effective transfer the data between cloud client applications and web server will be presented in the paper. The data are stored in a standard relational database on the server. The application access the data as needed without unnecessary redundancy in the transfer to both directions. Proposed component also provides automated object-relational mapping of the data. The system of definition the relations objects to relational data, delayed download of binary data, registration changes, etc. were designed. The example is presented for Silverlight .NET C #, but it is applicable to other environments and languages too.
V příspěvku představíme nově vyvíjený on-line nástroj pro vytváření, provoz a správu testů. Ty mohou být provozovány nejen v režimu plně zabezpečeného hodnoceného zkoušení, ale i jako efektivní auto testy. Nástroj je vytvářen v technologii Silverlight, která dovoluje použití bohatých a komfortních prvků pro interakci s uživatelem, jako je např. metoda drag&drop a další, které klasické HTML rozhraní neumožňuje. Díky podpoře API mohou být tyto testy integrovány nejen do různých LMS, ale i do libovolné webové aplikace. Pro vytváření testových otázek byl navržen i nový jazyk na bázi XML, který autorům testů dovoluje plně uplatnit svůj tvůrčí potenciál, včetně podpory sofistikovaných elementů pro generování náhodných prvků.
E-learning je v dnešní době neodmyslitelnou součástí výuky na vysokých školách a stále častěji se uplatňuje i na školách středních. Ve spoustě případů jsou však LMS systémy využívány spíše jako datová úložiště textových dokumentů a prezentací, které nejsou multimediální, interaktivní ani nijak nevyužívají potenciálu samotného LMS. V tomto článku si představíme jednu z možností jak rozšířit a obohatit výukové materiály multimediálními a v některých případech i interaktivními pomůckami – video-tutoriály. Konkrétně půjde o využití této možnosti při výuce programování.

V současné době existuje celá řada LMS, ovšem skutečně kvalitních, finančně dostupných, personálně zabezpečitelných a přizpůsobených pro potřeby a možnosti tuzemských středních škol není až zas tak mnoho. Zkusil jsem tedy vytvořit vlastní LMS, který by byl natolik jednoduchý, aby jej mohl používat každý, zároveň natolik komplexní, aby pokryl veškeré potřeby vyučujících a také natolik univerzální, aby jeho rozšiřování o další funkcionalitu bylo snadné a přístupné všem potencionálním zájemcům. LMS se skládá z jádra systému, sady základních modulů a kompletní dokumentace pro studenty, učitele, správce a programátory případných dalších modulů. Systém je vyvíjen v ASP.NET a navržen tak, aby dokázal podporovat v podstatě libovolný databázový zdroj.
I miss on-line e-learning tool during my teaching on the high school. I use it on the university as an absolute basic component of learning instruments. It has been very difficult and unsystematic to distribute the study materials and communication with the students out of the lessons. The teachers have solved the situation individually followed by theirs faculties and available means. The same situation is in entering and scoring tasks, written examination, reference, timetables, changes of timetables, events etc. Especially it is a problem with long time absent students or men studying in-career. The same problems are on the majority of other high schools. There are not LMSs in the high-quality, financially accessible and personally guaranteed in this time, which are adapted for the needs and the possibilities in the national high school. I have tried to create the LMS by myself, enough easy for everybody, enough complex for every needs from teachers and enough universal for easy and available future extending of functionality for every potentials interested persons. This strict modularity of the system should be helpful for it usability and long time viability. The LMS is developed and conceived to be able to support every database sources. System consists of core of the system, basic modules pack and completely documentations for students, teachers, administrators and programmers of additional modules.

The ability to create algorithms should belong among essential students’ skills at our faculty. However, it isn’t easy to find the most efficient way how to teach beginners to create algorithms. Program Algorithms can help us in this aspect very much. It allows teachers to visualize algorithm’s process and students to gain a feedback. They can see if their algorithms are correct both formally and functionally. The main functions include writing, controlling, running and stepping algorithms written in a meta-language. Program Algorithms is a splendid multimedia interactive complement that has been used in teaching on the Faculty of Informatics and Management of the University of Hradec Králové for two years and it could support teaching and learning at the other schools as well.

Schopnost vytvářet algoritmy by měla být neodmyslitelnou součástí dovedností našich studentů studujících oborů Aplikovaná informatika a Informační management. Na naší fakultě je této problematice věnován celý jednosemestrální předmět Algoritmy a Datové Struktury, v jehož rámci studenti navrhují algoritmy, které zapisují v českém metajazyce. Aby měli možnost získat nějakou zpětnou vazbu, tj. aby viděli, zda algoritmus, který napíší, je formálně i funkčně správný, byl pro potřeby tohoto předmětu vyvinut program Algoritmy, který umožňuje psaní, kontrolu, spouštění a krokování algoritmů zapsaných v probíraném českém metajazyku. Bližší představení programu bude součástí jeho prezentace v rámci semináře e-learning.
