Introduction
Dr Peter Walker is an Honorary Professor in the School of Chemistry and Molecular Biosciences, University of Queensland. He was formerly Chief Research Scientist at the CSIRO Australian Animal Health Laboratory in Geelong. He currently serves as Proposals Secretary for the International Committee on Taxonomy of Viruses (ICTV) and Chair of the Rhabdoviridae Study Group. He has published extensively on arthropod-borne viruses, invertebrate immunity, and diseases of aquatic invertebrates.
