Introduction
Nowadays my research is focused on two branches: - computer security in general (Internet of Things, Forensics analysis) - education data mining and learning analytics (how to improve studnets' results with the same or even higher demands from lecturers, institution).

This paper is elaborating on problems in public transport in the context of Smart Cities and Internet of Things (IoT). The means of public transport are commonly overcrowded and on the other hand some lines could be designed inefficiently. This affects passengers’ comfort and also the financial site of public transport companies. The field of count...

This paper is in the context of Smart Cities and Internet of Things (IoT). We proposed a novel approach in communication of IoT devices via SMS messages. This can be beneficial during changing configuration of IoT devices or during sending data from IoT devices. SMS has some disadvantages in security and effective payload. As the security is an ong...

We propose a novel method for binary-based decision diagrams (DD) which uses a residual variable. A new type of DD-Residual Variable in decision diagram (RViDD) allows to work without the use of the lowest and the most numerous level of nodes but at the same time preserves all the fundamental characteristics of DD. Thanks to these properties, it al...

This chapter is part of a wide work developed in the context of smart cities and Internet of Things (IoT). We proposed a new approach in communication with IoT devices via SMS messages. This can be beneficial during changing configuration of IoT devices or during sending data from IoT devices. Of course, using SMS has several disadvantages: securit...

This paper is part of a wide work developed in the context of smart cities. Main objective is focused on taxi services for business class and its specific needs. We present a new comprehensive multimedia information system for taxi cabs. Competition points out a potential in this area; however, they primarily focus on advertising which discourages...

The work deals with the problem of methods of synthesisof switching circuits with multiplexers and it is mainlyfocused on optimization and reduction of these circuits. Itanalyses and describes the state of art in optimization andreduction methods of multiplexer trees and also containsdescription of the justification for the use of multiplexersin th...
Conference Paper
Multiplexers are well known as a basic building element of digital and mixed signal circuits thanks to their ability to perform any Boolean function. Optimization is a significant part of synthesis of combinational logic, since performance has to be improved, area and power consumption have to be reduced. The paper presents a novel faster optimizat...
Chapter
The paper presents a novel method for teaching courses about logical circuits. Attracting students’ interest is an issue that is being addressed in all courses. In general, students are more interested in doing practical exercises then learning theory and calculating or designing things on a piece of paper. In courses devoted to logic circuits desi...
Conference Paper
In VLSI circuit synthesis, multiplexers are widely used as a basic building element because of their ability to perform any Boolean function. Since multiplexers form a significant part of total circuit area, designers often focus on application of various optimizations. Multiplexer optimization techniques result in significant improvement in perfor...

Attracting students' interest is an issue that is being addressed in all courses. In general, students are more interested in doing practical exercises than learning theory and calculating or designing things on a piece of paper. In courses devoted to logic circuits design it is especially important that the students have the possibility to verify...

During the teaching process teachers often use presentation of prepared slides. The most common is the projecting of slides with data projector. Several fields of study require a presentation of examples and illustrations as well as to adjust the presentation based on audience reactions. This type of presentation needs the support of additional han...

The paper presents a knowledge assessment approach developed for support of Digital system description course. In the course the students should comprehend the methods and techniques used in digital system design, and gain the skills in digital systems modelling using hardware description languages (HDL). For many years the course exams used to be...
Conference Paper
The paper presents a novel method of multiplexer tree design. An n-to-1 multiplexer is generally implemented by decomposition into smaller multiplexers (2-to-1 usually but 16-to-1 at max). We proposed efficient method for elimination multiplexers or group of multiplexers from a circuit according to our several rules. The final circuit can be made o...
Conference Paper
The purpose of this contribution was to present an application for mobile laboratory. Application will be used for testing of practical knowledge of students in digital systems modeling with VHDL and SystemC languages. Communication in mobile lab works using wireless technology (Wi-Fi) together with self designed communication protocol. One of the...
