It is well established that exposure to ambient air pollution affects human health. A majority of literature concentrated on health effects of air pollution in high income countries. Only fewer studies analyzing health effects of air pollution in Low- and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs) are available. To bridge this gap in literature, this study in...

Question
After a year of field sampling, I have collected a total of 104 samples of PM2.5. However, due to various reasons, the number of samples given for sampling came out to be 40. I have performed ICP-OES for heavy metals and GC-MS for PAH analysis. Is there any source apportionment technique which can be used satisfactorily for the given number of samples?
Question
I want to perform meta-analysis on air pollution and its health impacts. I have finished collecting sufficient literature. I am having doubts in interpreting how to take values of estimates for analysis. I am having relative risk values, sample population and confidence intervals values. I am unable to substitute in coding. Can anybody please provide sources or one example regarding this? Any help would be deeply appreciated.
Thank you
Question
I am researching on the effects of air pollutants on human population. For this purpose, I have to determine the age specific proportion of population exposed to the pollutants in air? How to accurately determine the age specific demography in a city? I have the population data of 2011 as base year.
Question
I am trying to interpret the results of HYSPLIT back trajectory run for the following input parameters
Location : Chennai, India
Trajectory: Back Trajectory
Duration: 96 hours
Height: 10 meters
Meteorological file used: NCAR Reanalysis file
I have downloaded the 2017 year file and have run the back trajectory analysis for the said location for 96 hours. I have used OpenAir software to plot path. My questions are as follows:
1) Does the trajectory indicates the motion of particles backward to the source from various locations?
2)How do we explain the methodology of motion of the particles? Can anyone provide me with a source?
I have attached the file to perhaps make it easy to understand what I am asking.
Question
There are many continuous monitoring stations installed in the country by Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).What is the type of monitoring station installed? What is the technique utilized to record for example, SOx, NOx and Particulate Matter levels in ambient air by these continuous monitoring stations?
Question
I have downloaded GDAS 0.5 degree resolution file for the purpose of calculating back trajectory calculations of Particulate matter. Since it will be a global data, how to obtain data pertaining to specific coordinates? Ex.(15 degree N, 85 degree E)
Question
I want to run WRF. I have tried in Windows but it was very complicated and I didn't get results properly. So I have installed Ubuntu as dual mode boot alongside windows. I am new to Linux. Please guide in installation. In WRF page, fortran compilers were mentioned as well as perl and some UNIX entities. I find this somewhat confusing. Link to the procedure would be highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Question
I have taken molasses waste water. I have also taken activated sludge from treatment plant. The molasses waste water has high COD level. How much of activated sludge has to added to molasses waste water? Are there any parameters/design basis to be considered? And how to optimize the inoculation?
Question
I have recently signed up to use HYSPLIT dispersion modeling software. I am stuck at the step of uploading meteorological data. How to upload India specific data to HYSPLIT format? It will be very helpful if a source has been provided.
Thanks
