Introduction
My ongoing research focuses on the study of Biodiversity of Azorean Arthropods, with emphasis on taxonomy, ecology (Macroecology), biospeleology and biogeography. I am also interested on: i) the development of species-area models that could describe patterns of species richness and potential extinction on islands; ii) empirical modelling of species distributions at different scales; iii) analysis of processes affecting patterns of species richness of arthropods at different spatial scales
