Question
Hi All,
Can someone recommend studies about the investment on the environment (conservation, restoration, etc.) made by subnational governments in developing countries? My paper explores the factors that explain why these investments exist in the first place and why the change overtime. I am working with data from Ecuador, and I am mainly interested in cases from Latin America. I will surely appreciate your thoughts on this.
Question
I am after a book or paper that lays out a robust methodological discussion about studying change in an epistemic community and the impacts on policy. I am interested on communities and policies at all levels of governance and in any policy arena.
Question
I am considering doing discourse analysis of presidential speeches as part of a larger research project. I need a transcription from audio files to code the text in Discourse Network Analyzer for later Social Network Analysis.
Which software could do the transcription as accurately as possible? I am a Mac user by the way. Has anyone experimented oTranscribe?
Question
I am starting a research project on the interaction between policy subsystems such as water, mining and forest in Latin America. Much has been said from normative perspectives on how policy actors should consider the interactions between policy subsystems when design and implement policies. Nevertheless, no theoretical framework that I know of tackles this issue from an analytical perspective, perhaps with the exception of the Advocacy Coalition Framework?

Project
