Up until now only a basic formula has been presented for the axial dipole field. However, if we delve deeper into the issue, we find that there are 2 solutions for the problem, just like matter and anti-matter exist, the axial dipole field can be in phase or in anti-phase.

We found the theory to calculate sunspots in the period 2013-2018. Major problems remain. However, sometimes it is possible to make a correct prediction. The timing and complexity of AR 2975 validates our model. You can follow everything on: https://www.spaceweatherlive.com/community/forum/29-space-weather/

In our previous article we found a relationship between the adjusted solar flux and the start of sunspot cycles. We used the 13-month smoothed average for it. Building further on this we found a surprising proof that sunspots and the adjusted solar flux are even more related. If we replace the standard smoothing formula with a 365-days smoothed ave...

Every relevant sunspot can be calculated beforehand. The main inducer is the magnetic field of the Sun. This sends "charged particles" to the planets and planetoids. They "load" them up. When 3 planets (or a combination with planetoids align or resonate), they create a kind of "electromagnetic wave pattern" that connects with the Sun. This signal i...

Once we understand the signal for the start of Solar Cycle 25, we can deduce the time frame when the 'Terminator' from Solar Cycle 24 will be reached. This is the moment when Cycle 25 will be 'fired up'. Two recent articles made headlines using complex mathematics to predict the 'Terminator Event'. However, at the time they didn't know the start of...

Planets turn around the sun with different speeds… But some unexpected huge problems show up when we investigate the mathematical principles of differential rotation. All physical rules seem to be violated… Why do we need to change days in degrees in several calculations? Is there a new kind of math or physics behind it? How is it possible we find...

Once we understand the signal for the start of Solar Cycle 25, we can deduce the time frame for the ‘Terminator of Solar Cycle 24’. This is the moment when Cycle 25 will be ‘fired up’. Two recent articles made headlines using complex mathematics to predict the terminator, just prior to the onset of Solar Cycle 25. However, at the time they did not...

It is known that the 10.7 cm Solar Radio Flux is strongly correlated to the sunspot number. The current explanation is that it depends on the density and magnetic field of the chromosphere, that comes from the photosphere which implies that the F10.7 flux should simply depend on the average magnetic field over the disk of the sun. Th e sunspot numb...

When did Solar Cycle 25 start? Patrick Geryl and Jan Alvestad developed a new theory to calculate the start of a new sunspot cycle.
Determining the start of a solar cycle is one of the most followed questions in astrophysics because it may be important to professionals like astronauts, astrophysicists, engineers responsible for protecting the powe...

After analyzing the lowest adjusted 10.7cm solar flux values, we find that the adjusted flux for October 2019 is low enough to give the start of Solar Cycle 25 between August 2019 and January 2020. Further findings point to November-December 2019 as the starting date for Solar Cycle 25, while the 2K high resolution sunspot number points to December...

It is known that the solar radio flux is strongly correlated to the sunspot cycle and that the flux is nearly the same at every minimum. If 64 sfu is taken as the baseline for all cycles, then we can calculate the proxy sunspot number from the flux, and vice versa. Furthermore, we find that the fitted adjusted flux divided by the fitted sunspot num...

Astronomy is ruled by gravitation theories. However, there is currently no theory to combine gravitation and rotating oscillating magnetic fields. This theory will revolutionize an immense amount of physical theories and has far reaching consequences. For instance the presented theory in this document uses the effects of the rotating magnetic field...

It is a well-known fact that around the peak of the sunspot cycle, the polarity of the Sun's magnetic field reverses. This study uses a new finding that relates this reversal of polarity of the Sun's magnetic poles to the Sun's magnetic field strength. Therefore, we model the polarity reversal of the Sun’s magnetic field with respect to the magneti...
