Introduction
I am a specialist in mitochondrial bioenergetics (plant/animal). Measurement of the mitochondrial membrane potential and the variation of it in flow cytometry (1986, 1990 and 1992). We made the demonstration of the key role played by mitochondria in apoptosis (1994, 1995 and 1996) before the discovery by Wang’s team of the cytochrome c release. We studied the destabilization of mitochondrial bioenergetics by Bid and tBid in relation with cardiolipin/caspase-8 (2008, 2013). Autophagy recently.

I have problem with somes markers...
Did lysostracker Green or red only stain lysosomes.
Or did this marker also stain acidic compartement as the AO did.
I feel that AO staing is very efficient to follow acidic compartment in normal cells and cells wich are undergoing autophagy until the autopagosomes are excreted or destroy. But this dye stain acidic compatment and we can believe to have a big acidic compartment when lysosomes and autophagosomes are fused.
