Introduction
My focus is "Astronomy Communication, Education & Research". I am currently involved in three main projects: 1. Insights - How the discoveries were made. Catching the genius of the discoverers and explaining how they did it. 2. For your eyes only - Drawings of star forming regions using small but high quality instruments under the dark unpolluted skies of remote places. 3. Supernova Planetarium of ESO at Garching - As a writer of the text for the Kiosks for the planetarium of ESO.

We have studied five major historical events reported between 1630 and 1680 AD, where detailed references to the stars in the night sky are available. We show that the descriptions of the star patterns at that time are off by exactly ten days. We attribute this error in dating historical events due to the switch over from Julian to Gregorian calend...

This is my mount. I created it to photograph DSOs. In the photograph, left is West and front is North direction. The white color wheel should be rotated in clockwise direction.
