The paper will examine how common Navajo cultural beliefs can fit through a Winnicottian lens in my work with a Navajo client named Jessie. The paper will introduce ways a clinician can discuss treatment options with clients of Navajo or others of Native American descent.
The paper will introduce the different ways a clinician can discuss treatment options with Navajo patients. There will be an emphasis on incorporating Navajo traditional beliefs in to Winnicottian goals.
