Introduction
I take a multicultural research perspective to understand mental health among people of color, and health disparities. I am interested in cognitive, emotional, and sociocultural determinants of substance use and other mental health outcomes. The ultimate goal of my research is to inform culture-centered interventions that are most effective in alleviating distress and improving psychological functioning among people from diverse ethnocultural backgrounds.
