Introduction
I am a tenured Ap.Professor and I am the head of the SCAR Unit (Stress in Childhood and Adolescence) at the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Medical University of Vienna. We study mechanisms underlying non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI) and post-traumatic stress, emotional dysregulation, and social stress in youth. My research integrates virtual reality (VR) paradigms, ambulatory assessments, and experimental designs to model real-world social and affective challenges.
