I am currently an associate professor at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), in the Center for Atmospheric Sciences. I am working on visualization problems and the use of machine learning to forecast atmospheric events. For my PhD I worked on the segmentation of breast lesions from MRI scans using OpenCL and OpenGL. I believe you need to love the work you do to be happy, and at the same time, there are many important things in this world beside work. Find a balance in life.
