Introduction
Project: "Advanced Computing for Innovation" (AComIn). The research work related with Language Technologies esp. a feasibility study of the ideas laid down in AComIn research area 4 (“Large-scale approach to multilingual terminology”). The research work is focused on the keywords (annotation tags), which are used in large-scale collections of multimedia digital objects.

This paper describes Slav-NER: the 3rd Multilingual Named Entity Challenge in Slavic languages. The tasks involve recognizing mentions of named entities in Web documents , normalization of the names, and cross-lingual linking. The Challenge covers six languages and five entity types, and is organized as part of the 8th Balto-Slavic Natural Language...
A survey of informetric methods and technologies is presented. Problems and directions of informetrics are defined. The interrelations between the concepts such as scientometrics, bibliometrics, informetrics, webometrics, and altmetrics are shown. The existing informetric models and methods and also topical problems of informetrics are analyzed. Av...
The subject of the paper is the scientometric data of information-analytical systems. The purpose of this paper is to analyze of existing methods for assessing academic institutions based on scientific activities and develop the approach to ranking the
academic institutions using the science data of the Web of Science Core Collection (WoS CC) and S...
Today, the research activities of scientists and research organizations is estimated through the informetrical methods (bibliometrics) with absolute and relative indicators based on the number of publications and their citations in scientometric databases. The leading authors and research organizations are given grants and awards, become internatio...
The paper describes the integrated processing method of heterogeneous information resources of web systems, which allows for further integration and management. Our method involves the decomposition of the overall process on subprocesses of value integration, data syntax, semantics, and structure. The advantage of this approach to integration proce...
Automatic identification of intended tag meanings is a challenge in large image collections where human authors assign tags inspired by emotional or professional motivations. Algorithms for automatic tag disambiguation need “golden” collections of manually created tags to establish baselines for accuracy assessment. Here we show how to use the MIRF...
This paper presents an approach for translation of tags in professional and social image databases, using an original lexical resource extracted from Wikipedia. The translation integrates a tag sense disambiguation algorithm based on WordNet and Wikipedia (as external resources defining word senses). Our disambiguation technique uses the Lesk algor...
This paper presents an approach for word sense disambiguation (WSD) of image tags from professional and social image databases without categorial labels, using WordNet as an external resource defining word senses. We focus on the resolution of lexical ambiguity that arises when a given keyword has several different meanings. Our approach combines s...
In this paper we present an approach for analysis of sentiments and emotions in image tagging using SentiWordNet as an external linguistic resource of emotional words. Our aim is to design and implement algorithms that assess the emotions and polarity given a set of image tags. The approach is not limited to object analysis only (considering inform...
This paper describes research aiming to refine the tags that are assigned automatically to images by an industrial auto-tagging system (Imagga). The present annotation contains English keyword tags proposed by the original auto-tagging algorithms which assign to each image a set of keywords corresponding to shapes and colors that are recognized in...
This paper is devoted to the statistical methods for authorship attribution of the texts. The model was tested for the Russian language, but can also be applied to Ukrainian. These methods are implemented using programming scripting language JavaScript.
