The present study aimed at (a) determining the concentration of macro-minerals and toxic metals in fish species collected from biofloc and traditional fish farms; (b) assessing the contribution of macro-minerals to our daily diet; and (c) evaluating the health risks of children and adults based on the US Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) dete...
In this work, an HB pencil electrode (HBPE) was electrochemically modified by amino acids (AAs) glycine (GLY) and aspartic acid (ASA) and designated as GLY-HB and ASA-HB electrodes. They were used in the detection of dihydroxybenzene isomers (DHBIs) such as hydroquinone (HQ), catechol (CC), and resorcinol (RS), by cyclic voltammetry (CV), and by di...
An ionic liquid (IL) based pencil graphite electrode (PGE) sensor was electrochemically fabricated for hydroquinone (HQ), catechol (CC) and resorcinol (RS) simultaneous detection and estimation in aqueous media. PGE surface was modified by 1-hexylpyridinium hexafluorophosphate (HPHP) using cyclic voltammetry (CV). The modified surface was character...
Safe and clean water is essential for all living beings. Consumption of polluted water which is contaminated with iron may cause serious health implications. Therefore, removal of Fe 3+ from wastewater is prerequisite for further uses. The present study intended to prepare activated charcoal (AC) from Borassus flabellifer male flower (BF) for the r...
Abstract: Carbon particle was prepared from Sugarcane Bagasse by using carbonization method. The surface morphology of carbon particle was characterized by SEM and EDX. The results from EDX showed that this adsorbent is not a pure carbon. The iodine number suggests that this is a good activated charcoal. The capacity of SB charcoal to remove Fe3+ i...
Seeds of Tamarindus indica and Momordica charantia were crushed by mechanical grinder and soxhlet extractor was used for lipid extraction using petroleum ether as solvent. Both cruse lipids were liquid in state and dark brown in color. Momordica charantia seed is a better source of lipid than Tamarindus indica seed as compared to their crude lipid...
Pyrolysis process has been used recently to produce wood vinegar from various agro-residues with intent to investigate their chemical composition and potential uses. In the present study two agro wastes corncob of Zea mays and stem of Areca catechu (Areca nut) are utilized to produce wood vinegar through pyrolysis process. Characterization of these...
This research was aimed to assess the human health risk by measuring concentration of seven heavy metals (Fe, Mn, Ni, Cu, Zn, As and Pb) in some selected vegetables, fruits and cereals in Khulna, Bangladesh. Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA) deterministic approaches were used to assess the carcinogenic and non-carcinogenic health risk which...
This study was conducted in order to assess the quality and suitability of groundwater for drinking purposes and the spatial variation in area of Jhenaidah Municipality, which is situated in the southwestern part in the Jhenaidah District under Khulna division of Bangladesh. Ground water samples were collected from nineteen different sampling spots...
Adsorption is an interesting procedure for the expulsion of toxins from water and wastewater since the procedure is practical, effortlessly adoptable. In this examination tea leaves were appeared to be a successful and minimal effort adsorbent. Evacuation of iron (II) from watery arrangements was contemplated utilizing bounteously accessible tea le...

Many articles mention that Dihydroxybenzene isomers have a tendency to coexist and need to be quantified. But those papers didn't mention real example. Is there any real sample/example where hydroquinone, catechol and resorcinol all exist together and need to be quantified?
The LOD (µM/l) of an electrochemical sensor have been calculated. Now I want to calculate the error limit and LOQ. Is there any method?
The CV/DPV experiments have been done. Now I want to calculate the resistance ----
a. electrode resistance before/after modification,
b. solution resistance, background current
Is there any way to calculate these parameters from CV/DPV graph/data?
