Accumulation of Ot alternative antifoulants in sediment is the focus of this research. Much research had been done on surface sediment, but in this report, the accumulation in the sediment core was studied. The Ot alternative antifoulants, Diuron, Sea-Nine211, and Irgarol 1051, and the latter's degradation product, M1, were investigated in five sam...

The impact of antifouling biocides on the marine environment in the northern part of Hiroshima Bay is the focus of this research. In this report, the effect on the marine environment was evaluated by the fertilized oyster egg’s development. Unlike previous research that investigated Ot compounds Ot alternative antifoulants were chosen in this resea...

Prohibition of Ot (organotin) compounds was introduced in Japan in 1997 and worldwide from September 2008. This meant that the production of paints containing TBT compounds was stopped and alternatives to the available Ot antifoulants had to be developed. It has been claimed that the degradation by-products of these alternative antifoulants were le...

In September 2008, organotin (Ot) compounds were prohibited from being used worldwide. From 1997 onward in Japan, the production of paints containing TBT (tributylin) compounds was prohibited, and thus alternatives to Ot antifoulants have been used since then. It has been said that the decomposition characteristics of these materials are better tha...

Residual Concentration of Antifouling Biocides in Environment – Organotin Alternative Antifouling Abstract Organotin compounds such as TBT, which have been used as antifouling biocides for vessels, underwater structures, and fishing nets have become a problem because of their toxicity and accumulation characteristics so their use in worldwide has b...

In this study, the levels of Diuron, Irgarol 1051, and the latter's degradation product M1 were investigated in the sediment from Hiroshima Bay. Concentrations of Diuron, Irgarol 1051 and M1 in sediment samples were in the range of ND-73 ng/g, ND-28 ng/g, ND-9 ng/g, respectively.Over the study period, the detection rate percentage and the average c...

Abstract Utilization of excess sludge for the production of biodegradable plastics With the development of more sewage systems around the world, particularly in developing countries, excess activated sludge produced in sewage treatment plants is also increasing. These have been made into fertilizer, etc., but the effective utilization ratio remain...

Questions

Question (1)
Question
We have established a non-profit organization and are working to help the prevention of global warming.
As one of our activities, we hold a “Global Warming Prevention Panel Exhibition” at shopping malls and conduct questionnaire surveys. Some of the answers suggested that “global warming” was a lie. There is also an opinion that there is no correlation between the rise in carbon dioxide concentration in the atmosphere and the rise in temperature.
Do you think that the increase in the concentration of green house gasses is the cause of global warming?

Project
Zero CO2 emissions On earth. We have felt the crisis of recent global warming, so have established our NPO “Environment NGO Kingfisher” for the purpose of raising awareness of global warming prevention and popularizing CO2 removal technology. We would like to work with researchers, engineers and companies around the world to complete project which remove CO2 from the atmosphere, or to remove CO2 from the earth using already completed technology. What Environment NGO Kingfisher is going to do 1. Promote activities for citizens to prevent global warming Renting event spaces such as shopping malls, and hold panel exhibitions once a month. 2. A dissemination project that uses the CO2 reduction technology that has already been developed in factories with high CO2 emissions It is possible to reduce CO2 in the atmosphere more efficiently by processing the exhaust gas from the factory that emits CO2 having a higher concentration than in the atmosphere. 3. Direct CO2 removal business from the atmosphere Reduce CO2 in the atmosphere by using technology that has been developed to remove CO2 directly from the atmosphere. Science CO2 is removed directly from the atmosphere, we believe that the earth`s CO2 concentration can be reduced regardless of the installation location even in Japan. 4. Survey and research projects related to environmental conservation Until now, we have conducted research on the environmental impact of Hiroshima Bay and the effects of ship-bottom paint substances on marine organisms. We will continue to conduct surveys and research to protect the marine environment. Non-profit organization Environment NGO Kingfisher URL: https://ngo-kingfisher.or.jp
