In the recent years, new practices and strategies represented by the term co-creation, has been vastly applied by organizations to engage their customers in the innovation processes. Many research focuses on the relationship of co-creation and the role it plays in helping organizations to attract and retain existing market. The occurrence is worthy to be investigated in telecommunication context as it is very competitive, thus demanding telcos to constantly adapt to increasingly dynamic and complex market realities. Realizing this, telcos are also exploring the use of social media to provide unsolicited responses that are akin to fostering customer word of mouth feedback. Therefore this research attempts to understand the organizational innovation processes of telcos in Malaysia through co-creation of value with the customer while leveraging on social media.
