Thiocarbamoyl complexes [Mo(η2-SCNMe2)(CO)2{HnB(mt)4-n}] (n = 1, 2) are obtained from the reactions of [Mo(η2-SCNMe2)Cl(CO)2(tmeda)] and Na[HnB(mt)4-n] or via reactions of the salts Na[Mo(CO)2+n{HnB(mt)4-n}] with Me2NCSCl.
