Introduction
I am working on a paper which is about analysing the damaged three stories hospital building in Darbandikhan city in Iraq which has been subjected to the strong 7.3 earthquake on 13 November 2017. Numerical modeling is utilized to simulate the damages in both concrete and steel bars in the first story only (soft story) and supporting on the results, a retrofitting method would be recommended and verified using both ABAQUS and LS-DYNA programs.
