The transient receptor potential melastatin 2 (TRPM2) is a non-specific cation channel, resulting in Ca2+ influx at warm temperatures from 34 °C to 47 °C, thus including the body temperature range in mammals. TRPM2 channels are activated by β-NAD+, ADP-ribose (ADPR), cyclic ADPR, and 2′-deoxyadenosine 5′-diphosphoribose. It has been shown that TRPM...
Background
Recent rodent and human studies provide evidence in support of the fact that CD157, well known as bone marrow stromal cell antigen-1 (BST-1) and a risk factor in Parkinson’s disease, also meaningfully acts in the brain as a neuroregulator and affects social behaviors. It has been shown that social behaviors are impaired in CD157 knockout...
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a group of neurodevelopmental disorders with complex genetic etiology. Recent studies have indicated that children with ASD may have altered folate or methionine metabolism, suggesting that the folate-methionine cycle may play a key role in the etiology of ASD. SLC19A1, also referred to as reduced folate carrier 1...
Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a serious condition associated with premature mortality, decreased quality of life, and increased health-care expenditures. A failure to produce sufficient Erythropoietin (EPO) accounts for the moderate to severe anemia observed in chronic kidney disease. Decreased EPO production is attributed to destruction of renal...
CD157, also referred to as bone marrow stromal cell antigen-1 (BST-1), is a glycosylphosphatidylinositol-anchored protein that facilitates pre-B-lymphocyte growth. Previous studies have reported associations between single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in the CD157/BST1 gene with Parkinson’s disease. In addition, we have recently demonstrated tha...
CD157, also referred to as bone marrow stromal cell antigen-1 (BST-1), is a glycosylphosphatidylinositol-anchored molecule that promotes pre-B-cell growth. Previous studies have reported associations between single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) of the CD157/BST1 gene with Parkinson's disease. In an attempt to determine whether SNPs or haplotypes...

The chronic hyperglycemia of diabetes is associated with long-term damage, dysfunction and failure of different...
Climate change has become the most important issue across the globe now-a-days. It creates a major risk to the global economy, affecting the wealth of societies, the availability of resources, the price of energy, and the value of financial sectors. It has become one of the most financially significant environmental concerns that the present world...
This paper introduces a new scheme for portfolio evaluation founded on a linear
expansion in a basis of economic indicators. The core idea is to express the
price movement of a complex set of financial instruments by several carefully
selected indicators whose behaviour is by far more understandable than the complicated
relations of financial deriv...
