What is the essence of social exchange theory in relation to individual knowledge sharing in the organizational contexts?
What is your reflection on following postulate:
"Social exchange theory perspective can be more promising approach to study an individual's knowledge sharing than motivational theories perspective/self-determination theory because it not only deals with benefits/motivations/positive motivations that individuals seek in knowledge sharing as well as associated cots. On the other hand, self-determination theory/motivational theories perspective only focuses on the benefits/motivations but not the costs of knowledge sharing".
I will appreciate your reflection highly.
Best,
Muhammad Shujahat
