The implementation of mobile cellular networks of the fourth generation, known as 4G Long Term Evolution-Advanced (4G LTE-A), is accelerating throughout the globe. Thus, the number of users in any given area is bound to rise with technological advancements. However, internet connec-tivity has become challenging in Indonesia, particularly in the den...
This paper plans a LoRaWAN network for smart meters in Karawang Industrial Estate, Indonesia's largest industrial estate. To measure and recognize electricity use in a place immediately, we use a tool called a smart meter, which is part of the Internet of Things (IoT), to provide control and optimization of electricity. Smart meters will operate us...
Smart city implementation, such as smart energy and utilities, smart mobility & transportation, smart environment, and smart living in urban areas is expanding rapidly worldwide. However, one of the biggest challenges that need to be solved is the selection of the appropriate internet of things (IoT) connectivity technologies. This research will se...
Indonesia is the fourth-most populous country, with 260 million people. This increases telecom network demand. 4G-LTE is Indonesia's lea ding mobile technology (LTE), but its network is now crowded. The telecom business must adjust to consumer mobility and growing demand. The Indonesian government urges the deployment of 5G New Radio (NR) with Non-...
The massive use of triple-play service (high-speed internet, real-time voice, and high-quality video) has created an enormous capacity problem to access network infrastructures. Moreover, the triple-play service requires a large bandwidth to meet the user's expectations and satisfaction. The higher the quality of the triple-play service content, th...
The manual reading of electricity, water, gas, and fuel tank meters requires increased fieldwork efficiency and improved measurement accuracy and monitoring related to service users and reducing fraud potential. The implementation of measurement services needs to be supported by communication technology, which has low cost and reliability character...
Digital economy development requires enterprises to seek solutions to cater increasing demand for internet bandwidth. Enterprise customer require a reliable connection for delivering their business solution with the symmetric speed between upload and download, such as XGS-PON technology (10 Gigabit Capable Symmetric Passive Optical Network). Howeve...
Video services on Passive Optical Networks (PON) are widely used for the IPTV multicast services and proliferating. One of the new PON technologies used by telecommunication operators in Indonesia is the 10-Gigabit-capable symmetric passive optical network (XGS-PON). However, there is no technical standardization related to multicast services on th...
The Internet of things (IoT) wireless network are evolving to help meet the needs of a wide variety of connected devices. 3GPP has introduced a narrowband system based on Long Term Evolution (LTE) named Narrowband IoT (NB-IoT). It provides low-cost, wide coverage, long battery life, and support massive devices. The smart meter has become one of the...
The need for LPWA-based Internet of Things (IoT) technology for deploying smart metering services is rapidly growing for its ability to manage energy usage in real-time and increase efficiency. However, the problem faced by electric utility companies is how to choose the most appropriate technology. This study uses a techno-economic approach to com...
