The aim of this paper is to examine the impact of perfume packaging on consumer buying behaviour of Jordanian women. The dimensions of perfume packaging adopted were: package colour, printed information, packaging material, design of wrapper, background image and innovation, while dimensions of consumer buying behaviour were: attention, arousing in...
Dubai, the globally known Emirate of the United Arab Emirates, has achieved an image of its own as a sun, sand and sea destination with the added X-factor of safety and shopping to enhance visitors’ positive perceptions. Equally well perceived by consumers and envied by competitors, its national carrier, Emirates Airline, has made a substantial con...
Purpose:The purposes of this paper is to measure the Impact of Preventive &Epidemic Information spread in the Diffusion of the Novel (COVID-19) in Jordan, in addition, to explore the Moderating role of Mass Media. Design/methodology/approach: An observational analytic one used whereby the sample consisted of 306 respondents. A self-administered que...
Background: Pharmacists' jobs in Jordan are important and contribute to the welfare of patients and citizens. Through interviews of a number of pharmacists it was felt that there is need to study their feelings about their rights and satisfaction. Objectives: The aim of this study is to measure the perceptions of Jordanian pharmacists on attaining...
Background: The relationship between Emotional Intelligence (EI) and Transformational Leadership (TL) has been the subject of study by many authors. There have been very few studies of this relationship in Iraq. Al'Ikha industrial establishment is concerned with high technological industry and attempts to organize the relationship between the manag...
The aim of this study is to measure the impact of job stress on job performance among the employees of the Jordan Telecom Group (JTG). For that purpose the factors of job stress studied were: work overload, role conflict, role ambiguity, and physical conditions of work, while the dimensions of job performance were: Job Commitment, Job Loyalty, Func...
Estimation of the parameters of Weibull distribution is considered using different methods of estimation based on different sampling schemes namely, Simple Random Sample (SRS), Ranked Set Sample (RSS), and Modified Ranked Set Sample (MRSS). Methods of estimation used are Maximum Likelihood (ML), Method of moments (Mom), and Bayes. Comparison betwee...
Based on a failure censored sample, the Bayesian prediction interval is obtained for the order statistic in the two sample and one sample cases when samples are assumed to be from the one-parameter Burr type X with p.d.f.where θ is assumed to be a realization of a random variable θ. The conjugate and non-informative priors were assumed for θ, As sp...
Billingsley?s [2] proof of the consistency theorem for the multiparameter discrete state space Markov chains includes the assumptions of existence and continuity of all third partial derivatives. In this paper, we relaxed the assumptions to include the existence and continuity of the derivatives only up to the second order. Also, we establish condi...
In this article a Bayes and an empirical Bayes estimators of location and scale parameters and reliability function of the two-parameter exponential distribution are obtained. Simulation experiments are performed to examine the behaviour of the estimators.
Kupper and Meydrech and Myers and Lahoda introduced the mean squared error (MSE) approach to study response surface designs, Duncan and DeGroot derived a criterion for optimality of linear experimental designs based on minimum mean squared error. However, minimization of the MSE of an estimator maxr renuire some knowledge about the unknown paramete...
A James-Stein type estimator [see W. James and C. Stein, “Estimation with quadratic loss.” Proc. 4th Berkeley Sympos. Math. Stat. Probab. 1, 361-379 (1961)] for the vector of missing observations in a linear regression model is obtained. It is shown that if there are more than two missing observations, then the estimator obtained here has everywher...
In this article approximate fiducial bounds of reliability of a series system composed of K≥2 independent components, each having two-parameter exponential distributed life-length, are derived. Simulation experiments are used to study the performance of the bounds obtained.
This chapter presents the Bayes' estimators for non-informative priors under informative and non-informative priors. The estimators are compared with the CML and Box and Jenkins' estimators through simulation.
A variety of shrinkage methods have been proposed for estimation of some unknown parameter by considering estimators based on a priori guess of the value of the parameter. We compare some of the shrunken estimators for the parameters μ and θ of the exponential distribution through simulation.
This paper deals with the problem of estimating random parameters of normal, Poisson and gamma probability distributions used in reliability studies. It is proved that the estimators are asymptotically normal and consistent.

Use the method of G.Kulldorf and K. Vannman(1973)and modifications of it to find MVUE of the parameters of Pareto distribution of the second kind using modified RSS. It is hoped to get more efficient estimators with less restrictions on the parameters.
